The popular program should resume taking applications on July 1, but it may be more difficult to secure the home hardening grants of up to $10,000.
The Florida Department of Financial Services, aka, the Insurance Regulatory authority in the State of Florida, created a program to help fortify Florida Homes against Hurricane’s, while helping reduce Insurance costs to homeowners.
For those eligible, grant money is available to assist homeowners to purchase things like Impact Windows and Doors, or a new roof.
